And decide to leave.\r\nSo how do we do it?\r\nWell... I Know Many Of You Think\r\nOf Yourselves As \"Copywriters...\"\r\nNot anymore.\r\nBecause writing is only a very SMALL component of what we actually do.\r\nIf you want to become a MASTER of commanding attention...\r\nAnd generating powerful EMOTIONAL responses that inspire people to\r\ntake ACTION...\r\nThen you need to STOP thinking of yourselves as copywriters...\r\nAnd start thinking of yourselves as DIRECTORS.\r\nDirectors of a VERY specific genre.\r\nDo you know what it is?\r\nWe're Not \"WRITING” Micro Leads,\r\nWe're Producing Reptile Porn...\r\nBecause The Key To Crafting Effective\r\nMicro-Leads... As long as they STICK AROUND.\r\nBut your prospects' LOGICAL brain isn't the one making the decision as to\r\nwhether or not they're going to watch your sales video.\r\nTheir decision to watch... is almost ENTIRELY dependent on how well you\r\nactivate their REPTILIAN BRAIN.\r\nThese are the PRIMAL drivers. Their CORE wants and desires.\r\nSafety. Sex/Love. Food. Money. Power. Social Status. Self-Image.\r\nThe Life-Force 8.\r\nEvolutionary assets that increase their chances of survival and replication.\r\nWhich ALSO happens to coincide with the different BUYING AGENDAS.\r\nA Nerdier Way Of Explaining It...\r\nIs Through Daniel Kahneman's\r\nSystem 1 Vs System 2 Thinking\r\nRIP Daniel Kahneman... passed away a couple of weeks ago.\r\nFamous Economist... who did a lot of psychological study.\r\nWrote \"Thinking Fast & Slow.”\r\nAlso wrote \"Heuristics & Biases: The Psychology Of Intuitive Judgment.”\r\nIntuitive judgment is a REALLY important concept.\r\nSystem 1\r\n• Subconscious\r\n• Intuitive\r\n• Automatic\r\n• Fast\r\nSystem 2\r\n• Conscious\r\n• Deliberate\r\n• Rational\r\n• Slow\r\nI Became 10X Better As A Copywriter\r\nSince AI Came Out… And It’s\r\nNOT From Using AI To Write Copy!\r\nMy improvements came from figuring out how to communicate WITH the\r\nAI.\r\nBecause let’s face it… when it comes to “thinking”, these Large Language\r\nModels are still pretty basic.\r\nSure, their ability to reason is starting to get better with certain updates.\r\nBut they MOSTLY operate at a System 1 thinking level.\r\nThey don’t actually “read” the words you put into them.\r\nThey don’t even understand “WORDS” in a technical sense.\r\nThe words are just symbolic representations to them.\r\nThey focus on PATTERN recognition.\r\nThey’re trained on tons of DATA.\r\nSo when you type your inputs, they search their database… and start\r\npattern matching… to generate their best guess of the answer you’re\r\nlooking for.\r\nIt happens within SECONDS. Almost instantaneous…\r\nBy simply matching inputs and outputs.\r\nAnd What I Realized Is...\r\nThe Human Brain Works In\r\nA VERY SIMILAR Way!\r\nI know we like to \"THINK” we're these unique creatures...\r\nAnd it's true... when you're talking about our souls and ability to love and\r\nstuff like that...\r\nBut when it comes to how our REPTILIAN BRAINS work...\r\nWe're really just advanced Als in fragile, flesh shells.\r\nWe don't actually operate in “words” either.\r\nThe words are symbolic representations...\r\nJust like how Al uses tokens.\r\nThinking of it that way...\r\nThe words we communicate with are simply INPUTS.\r\nThey're the way we structure DATA. Just like how we would “prompt” an Al.\r\nThe emotional response those words stimulate is the OUTPUT.\r\nAnd here's what you need to understand... because it's REALLY important\r\nwhen it comes to writing Micro Leads.\r\nEvery prospect who watches/reads your\r\nsales message is operating out of their\r\nown Large Language Model.\r\nThey're processing your INPUTS you put on screen...\r\nThe words... the imagery... the voice inflection...\r\nThen using their SUBCONSCIOUS brains to interpret the meaning...\r\nAnd decide whether this is something that's WORTH it for them to stick\r\naround for.\r\nAgain... this is an instantaneous, automatic reaction.\r\nIt happens BELOW the prospects' level of awareness.\r\nMeaning, people will FEEL the emotion... LONG before understanding or\r\nrationalizing WHAT they're feeling. Or WHY they're feeling it.\r\nSo... the MOST important factor... is that we stimulate SOME kind of\r\nemotional response.\r\nAny kind.\r\nAs quickly as possible.\r\nAs long as we do THAT... we give ourselves a chance of staying in the\r\ngame.\r\nThen obviously, the MORE aligned this response is\r\nBut there's one LAST key point I need you to understand...\r\nBefore we get into frameworks...\r\nBecause it explains why certain markets respond to certain messages.\r\nThe Way Our Subconscious Minds\r\nOperate... CHANGES Over\r\nThe Course Of Our Lives!\r\nWe don't get to walk around all day in some protective bubble.\r\nAnd you know how certain Als/LLMs can be trained on personalized data...\r\nwhich changes their outputs?\r\nWell, that's what happens to humans as well.\r\nLIFE happens to us.\r\nSo most people are no longer a blank canvas anymore. And Structuring Them In\r\nThe Most COMPELLING Ways\r\nRemember...\r\nMicro Leads are short.\r\nUsually 150-300 words.\r\nIt's NOT a lot of writing.\r\nBut you want to make sure that the words that ARE used carry HIGH\r\nEVOCATIVE VELOCITY.\r\nMaximum EMOTION in MINIMAL time.\r\nThat doesn't leave ANY room for fluff.\r\nSo you're gonna have to assemble/use the most high-leverage copy\r\nconcepts.\r\nThings that stimulate emotions in less words.\r\nSome of the things to look for here are:\r\n- Is the copy addressing an URGENT PAIN POINT that's actually important\r\nto the market?\r\n- Is the copy making a DESIRABLE PROMISE that our prospect believes\r\ncan impact their life in a specific, yet tangible way? (We want the promise\r\nto be aggressive, yet believable.)\r\n- Are we introducing a NEW CAUSE OF A STUBBORN PROBLEM that\r\nrefreshes our prospects’ hopes of getting results… even if they’ve failed to\r\nresolve their issue in the past?\r\n- Are we introducing an EXCITING & COMPELLING UNIQUE\r\nSOLUTION… that delivers the desired results in a novel and superior way?\r\n- Is our solution based on a SHOCKING DISCOVERY… made in a\r\nSTRANGE place… or UNCOVERED BY A CREDIBLE AUTHORITY…\r\nwhich threatens to shake up the status quo?\r\n- Do we have any EXCEPTIONAL SOCIAL PROOF OF\r\nTRANSFORMATION… OR A HIGHLY-COMPELLING USER STORY\r\nthat viewers would become emotionally invested in?\r\n- Is there any DRAMA, CONSPIRACY, CONTROVERSY related to our\r\noffer that we can leverage? Would anyone be INCENTIVIZED to STOP our\r\nprospects from watching this?\r\nThat is a STRONG starter list of SPECIFIC ELEMENTS that you can\r\nfeature prominently in your Micro Leads.\r\nIt’s not an EXHAUSTIVE list.\r\nBut I’ve built winning Micro Leads around EACH of those areas.\r\nAnd featured them prominently.\r\nThe best part is…\r\nRarely Do I Ever Have To Come Up With\r\nThese Concepts Myself...\r\nThat's the funny thing about this process.\r\nAnd explains WHY I think crafting high-converting Micro Leads is pretty\r\neasy to pick up.\r\nESPECIALLY if you're coming in to INCREASE conversions on a sales\r\nletter that ALREADY exists.\r\nBecause a lot of these WINNING elements are likely ALREADY in the\r\nletter.\r\nI mean... most sales letters are going to address problems.\r\nThey're going to introduce solutions.\r\nAnd have proof.\r\nAnd unique mechanisms.\r\nCopywriting 101.\r\nBut what a lot of copywriters LACK... (even the good ones)\r\nIs that EVOCATIVE VELOCITY.\r\nThey write some good shit...\r\nBut they write it as if they're playing with the shot clock turned off.\r\nWith a sense of ENTITLEMENT.\r\nLike they have all the time in the world.\r\nSo they tend to “BURY” a lot of the ACTUAL compelling stuff…\r\nDeeper into the letter/VSL.\r\nBut BECAUSE they take too long to get into it…\r\nNOBODY ever sees it.\r\nBecause they FAILED to stimulate the emotions from the BEGINNING…\r\nProspects get bored. They’re left UNSTIMULATED. And they click away.\r\nI can’t even TELL you how many times I’ve taken someone’s existing\r\nletter/VSL…\r\nSkimmed it for the ELEMENTS that jump out to me as EXCITING…\r\nThen just took those elements that were buried on Page 3… or 7… or god\r\nforbid, Page 14…\r\nMoved them to the very TOP of the letter…\r\nAnd ended up beating the control.\r\nI’ll give you an example.\r\nI did this for a back pain letter last year.\r\n9-figure client.\r\nHere's how the letter started:\r\n(It was their WINNING lead. After they tested multiple leads)\r\nI call it the \"Just Like You\" Micro Lead.\r\nI see people run it a lot. Not usually my favorite.\r\nHi there, you might not know me but we have a lot in common. See, for years I battled against\r\nback pain. And for a long time, no matter what I did I was losing. It took me years to find a real\r\nsolution, one that didn't require wasting my precious time and money on temporary relief. An\r\nactual fix that has the power to defeat everyday aches while keeping the body looking and\r\nfeeling its best in only 2 minutes a day. It's the same solution I'm going to share with you in just\r\na moment. But first I want to tell you about the day that changed my life forever, and why I stand\r\nin front of you today.\r\nSee, I'm a regular person just like you, I'm a mom, a business owner and I'm someone whose\r\nlife was controlled by pain. A few years ago when I was in peak condition, at the top of my\r\nhealth I suffered from a fateful accident that left me unconscious and my body crushed. My sciatic nerve felt like an overstretched rubber\r\nband ready to snap.\r\nIt's OK, not terrible.\r\nI was brought in to do a “Beat Your Control” on this project.\r\nSo... like always, I start by reading the EXISTING letter.\r\nWhen I started scanning the control... I didn't really feel any emotions.\r\nUNTIL I got to the story of the daughter.\r\nI don't have kids.\r\nI have two nephews who I'm really close with.\r\nYet that image of a smiling little daughter running over for a hug. And\r\ngetting terrified by her mom's pain stuck right out to me.\r\nI saw opportunities to take that TRUE STORY (I don't make shit up) and\r\ncrank up the emotional drama.\r\nSo... I built a Micro Lead around THAT.\r\nI literally started the letter:\r\n\"Mommy, did I hurt you? I'm sorry, Mommy...”\r\nWhen those panicked words poured out of my 3 year old daughter Sage's\r\nmouth...\r\nIt took every ounce of strength I had not to cry in front of her.\r\nA few seconds earlier, this little bundle of joy was waddling down the\r\nhallway in her pajamas...\r\nWith outstretched arms...\r\nAnd the biggest, sweetest smile on her face.\r\nAll she wanted to do was \"give mommy a good morning hug.”\r\nBut as I reached down to pick her up... it happened again.\r\nAnd if you've ever dealt with a bad back before, you know that's never\r\ngood news.\r\nI felt my body lock up immediately...\r\nThen... as an excruciating jolt shot from my legs all the way through my\r\nspine...\r\nI couldn't help but let out a scream...\r\nWhich caused my precious little girl's lips to quiver in shock.\r\nI slowly lowered her to the ground...\r\nThen collapsed onto the couch.\r\nAnd in that moment...\r\nThe only thing worse than all the pain and stiffness raging through my\r\nbody...\r\nWas the guilt I felt for upsetting my daughter.\r\nBut as traumatic as that morning was...\r\nThis \"hug gone wrong\" ended up being one of the BEST things to ever\r\nhappen to me.\r\nBecause it led me to a life-changing discovery...\r\nA specific sequence of simple, easy, gentle 10 second movements...\r\nThat RESET my back health... and made me feel “as good as new\"\r\nagain.\r\nThanks to this “10 Second Spinal Reset Sequence...\"\r\nI was FINALLY able to put an end to the years of frustrating flare-ups...\r\nAnd get back to actually living life...\r\nWhere I could walk, run, lift, drive, bend, play with my kids... and give\r\nthem the biggest hugs... with zero hesitation.\r\nDo you FEEL the difference?\r\nThere's more emotion in those 290 words.
